I've always loved the look of Edwardian-era elegance and especially entryway oval mirrors with dark wood. My husband prefers a classic country theme. For our new home that we plan to stay in until we retire, I've been careful to pick pieces that reflect both our preferences. I was looking for something far lighter and less bulky than those enormous Edwardian mirrors, and I was actually looking for a new coat rack as well. My home has a modern layout with a very underwhelming entryway, so I need something to hang a few coats or hats on without them protruding far. I was happy to find both a rack and a mirror in one product that matches with my mixed theme.
What I like about this rack in terms of solving my practicality needs is that it's sturdy. I feel like I don't have to worry about it falling like my last wall-mounted coat rack did. Like a lot of women, my friends and I have an unspoken competition to find the best decorations and furniture. I get a lot of envious comments about this piece, and even my mother-in-law approves.
