OverviewThe narrow line of Shaker style peg racks started out as a special request from a country store owner, who was looking for a way to display dried flowers. Simple wall mounting with the included matching button plugs and mounting screws.
I find it easier to apply the finishes prior to installing the pegs. Do not paint the tenon which is the part of the peg that goes in the hole. Do not paint inside the hole. A small amount of wood glues should be used to attach the pegs. The glue should be applied to the sides of the hole. Do not fill the hole as this will prevent you from installing the pegs. I push down and use a twisting motion when installing the pegs. If the pegs are tight you may use a slight rocking motion to help seat the pegs from time to time I find it necessary to sand the tenon a little bit to make the pegs fix in the hole easier. Keep in mind we want a good fit, to loose and the pegs will come loose.

She is one of those “do it yourselfers”. She loves doing things on her own, putting together the perfect décor. She wants a lovely little coat rack to hold her hats and scarves (she has a penchant for berets), but she wants to do her own work. Eureka, she has found a solution in the unfinished kits. The small size is perfect for her studio apartment and since it is unfinished, she can stain it herself. It is the perfect option for a do it yourself-er like her.
Now, all she has to do is choose the right stain color. This could take all day, she thinks as she stares at a wall of stains and wood finishes available at her favorite home improvement store.
