It’s a cold and dreary night. The only light on the street is a dim lantern that barely does anything but light up a small area of the road. The rain is drizzling down the side of the house when he pulls into the driveway. He is alone and tired from a long day of work. Even as a bachelor, he still tries to keep a tidy house, and that means having a place to put his coat and hat when he comes in from the drizzling rain.
